Flamboyant India batter Rohit Sharma played some sensational cricket against Nepal, which helped the Men in Blue win the match by ten wickets. With that, India also qualified for the Super Four of the tournament, which is slated to begin on September 6 in Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Meanwhile, in the match, Rohit Sharma created multiple records. He became the Indian captain with the most number of half-centuries in the tournament. The cricketer also led the side in the 2018 edition of the tournament, where he was sensational with the bat.

On the other hand, the 36-year-old became the first cricketer to hit 10 50+ scores in the continental cup, surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who has nine to his name. Meanwhile, that’s not it. The cricketer also hit his 250th six as an opener in ODI cricket, which is the most by an Indian and third most overall.

Meanwhile, in the match against Nepal, Rohit hit 74 runs off 59 deliveries while Gill hit 67 runs off 62 deliveries. Both openers failed to make a mark against Pakistan and were under some sort of pressure but they looked flawless against the Rohit Paudel-led side, which will give them some much-needed confidence. Rohit was eventually adjudged the Player of the Match but despite so, the cricketer believes that there’s a lot of room for improvement.
