Sanju Samson has a huge fanbase, purely because of his magnanimous strokeplay and ability to hit the ball clean. Recently, a video of Samson hitting a huge six has been doing rounds on social media. The video was shared by Rajasthan Royals, Samson's franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the video, the India batter can be seen striking a huge six straight past the bowler's head.

As seen in the post, his down the ground hit landed on the roof and ricocheted back on the field after a couple of bounces. The sound the ball made off the bat served a delight to the fans on the platform. Netizens were left in awe of the strokeplay put to display by the RR skipper, and lauded him for hitting the huge maximum.

Speaking of the star batter's recent performances, Sanju impressed everyone with a fantastic ton against South Africa. The knock came in a series decider at Boland Park, Paarl, as he single-handedly led India to post a decent total in the all-important clash. Courtesy of his knock, the Men in Blue won the game to seal the series in their favour, as the wicketkeeper-batter was justly awarded Player of the Match.

Samson eyes big for IPL, T20 WC 2024

Next up, Sanju is expected to feature in the T20I series against Afghanistan later this month. He will also be featuring in the domestic circuit, playing Ranji Trophy for Kerala. Starting March, Samson will return to play in the IPL, captaining the Rajasthan-based franchise. He would be keen to end the trophy drought for the team after they won the inaugural edition in 2008 under Shane Warne's able leadership.

Later this year, the T20 World Cup is also on the cards, and a good domestic season might give Sanju a call-up for representing the Men in Blue in the elite ICC tournament. Thus, the year 2024 has all the exciting things to watch out for the 29-year-old.
