India are looking to continue their unbeaten streak in the ongoing T20 World Cup while taking on Bangladesh in what will be the second match of the Super 8s for both these teams.

Both teams had contrasting fortunes in their lastest fixture. At this stadium, Bangladesh had a tough time against Australia. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto had to drop anchor among loss of early wickets. Bangladesh had to endure a second collapse after forcing themselves through a slow phase brought on by Adam Zampa. Pat Cummins' late hattrick compounded Bangladesh's problems and they only finished with 140.

David Warner and Travis Head started strongly in the powerplay but Rishad Hossain's double strike slowed Australia down. But that did not matter after the rain hit the innings for the second time and Australia were declared winners by the DLS method.

India had a much better time against Afghanistan. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli struggled to step on the pedal opening the innings as Fazalhaq Farooqi had the openers on a leash. Rishabh Pant played an impactful cameo, but Rashid Khan's triple strike kept Afghanistan in the game. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya then put on 62 in less than 6 overs, before Farooqi returned to restrict India to 180.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz showed promise in the first over with two boundaries, but fell to Jasprit Bumrah in the second. Bumrah struck once more in the powerplay and Afghanistan never seemed to recover. Afghanistan kept losing wickets at regular intervals and never got ahead of the chase. Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav were all among the wickets.

Sir Vivian Richards Stadium Pitch Report:

While North Sound hasn't been the flattest surface going around in this tournament, there is still a precedent for high scores and fast scoring with Bangladesh's effort against Australia only being an aberration.

India vs Bangladesh Strategies & Match-ups:

India showed that their deep batting line up has the ability to survive any untimely collapses and still put up a total enough for their bowlers to defend. The more impressive section of both the teams' performances has been their bowling, so this might just yet be the toughest challenge that Bangladesh's batters might come across. The number of matches won batting second has been higher at this stadium in this tournament, and both teams boast in-form bowling attacks that could rule the roost.

The important match-ups for this match are: Rohit Sharma vs Mustafizur Rahman, Suryakumar Yadav vs Rishad Hossain, Najmul Hossain Shanto vs Jasprit Bumrah, Towhid Hridoy vs Kuldeep Yadav.

Player Battles to Watch Out For

Rohit Sharma vs Mustafizur Rahman:

India's skipper has a reputation of being vulnerable to left arm pace. But his record against Bangladesh's talisman suggests otherwise. In 41 balls, Sharma has scored 69 runs at a strike rate of 168.29 while averaging 34.5 after being dismissed twice.

X-Factors for India vs Bangladesh:

India:

Fresh off a Man of the Match performance, Suryakumar Yadav will be the important player for India in this match after displaying once again why he is the number 1 ranked batter in t20i's right now.

Bangladesh:

Bangladesh progressed to the Super 8s on the back of their bowling perfomances. Mustafizur Rahman has been the convenor of this Bangladesh line-up and he will look to build upon his good record against India.
