"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams" was a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, an esteemed American political figure. It seems as if Rinku Singh has been living by this maxim ever since making his way into competitive cricket.
Back in 2018, Rinku was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders for a base price of INR 80 lakh. The first three seasons saw him play only 10 matches in total. However, through his sheer resilience and tenacity, he managed to exceed every expectation and ended up being retained by the franchise for a whopping INR 13 crore, a pay hike of 1525%. Only a few days post this news breaking out, Rinku purchased a brand new house for himself and his family in Aligarh, the picture of which has causes waves of happiness amongst his supporters and well-wishers on social media.

Rinku's past three seasons in the IPL
There was a stark change in the manner in which Rinku was utilized post the 2020/21 season. He was banked upon to deliver the lusty blows for the franchise and did not fail to outweigh their requirements. The past season was an edition where Rinku genuinely did not get offered a lot of chances with the bat, that too due to the excellent nick in which the top-order was. Despite that, his strike rate was 148.67.

Rinku's breakthrough season was the one before KKR went on to emerge as the champions for the very third time in the history of the IPL (IPL 2023). He tore into the bowlers in the 14 innings he featured in and amassed 474 runs at a strike rate a whisker short of 150. That particular season could be attributed to be the one which changed his perception in the eyes of the KKR management and creating a reputation for himself.
